On October 26, 2024, I was in Naples to speak at Linux Day 2024. I also had a few hours to see the city.<\/p>\n

It is a place unlike any other in Italy; it’s a semi-anarchic country of its own. “Math diplomas in 3 minutes, only in Naples” is an advert I saw there. Free entrepreneurship runs wild.<\/p>\n

Folks don’t follow the rules of the road at all. Everyone must pay attention to not be hit by a car or motorbike.<\/p>\n

Yet, thank god Italian legislation isn’t fully enforced there; Naples’ ways are the cultural heritage that gives the place its special vibes.<\/p>\n

I visited a (legit) clothing store, which however didn’t have any price tags. I negotiated a discount on an “already discounted price” (yeah, right), only to have the clerk ask me to pay the original price at the checkout. I reminded him about the negotiated discount, to have him reply “just kidding”. I would have stormed out of the store if this was not Naples.<\/p>\n

Neapolitans also really<\/i> care about their soccer team. One could even say they are religiously devoted to it.<\/p>\n

Oh, and they speak in their own tongue; not in Italian.<\/p>\n

Naples is Italy’s meme city.<\/p>\n

I love the country more than ever after having been to Naples.<\/p>\n

Впечатления и фотографии читателя из сентябрьской поездки в Японию.<\/i><\/p>\n

У каждого свои причины мечтать о Японии: музеи на островах, аниме, неаполитанская пицца, авангардная мода, американские джинсы, шотландский виски, автомобили, онсены. Так или иначе, в 2023 году страна восходящего солнца по-прежнему остаётся желанным и не до конца изведанным направлением.<\/p>\n

Поэтому я с радостью представляю вам рассказ о недавней поездке одного из читателей и участников чата<\/a> Vacations On — Ильи. Нет ничего увлекательнее, чем впечатления из первых рук.<\/p>\n

Часть 1. Прибытие в Осаку<\/h2>\n

Привет! Пропущу сам путь до Японии, потому что ничего интересного в нём не нашёл. Скажу только, что аэропорт Шанхая показался мне самым скучным аэропортом в мире. А я бывал даже в аэропорте города Гюмри.<\/p>\n

Зато в аэропорту Осаки сразу становится понятно, в какую страну ты прилетел: нужно заполнить декларацию о том, что ты добрый и порядочный человек, и вместе с паспортом отдать в окошко служащему, который сидит в розовом пропускном пункте. Далее ещё один пропускной пункт, уже в город, со своей декларацией. Она есть в формате qr кода, но без знания иероглифов было сложновато. Любопытно, что на стойке, помимо ручек, лежали несколько пар очков — с разными диоптриями.<\/p>\n

Наконец, после ещё одной очереди (тут их очень любят), мы выбрались из аэропорта Осаки. В нос ударил абсолютно другой, свежий морской воздух. Мы сфотографировали красивый поезд и на обычном поехали в город.<\/p>\n

Несмотря на усталость перелёта, очень захотелось осмотреться. Сразу наткнулись на пьяных людей, смиренно валяющихся на тротуаре ногами к дороге. Тут же люки, которые поражают своим оформлением. Уже потом я прочитал, что в каждом регионе они разные и количество дизайнов переваливает за 1000. Повсюду вывески и провода, хотя чрезмерной иллюминации мы не заметили. Даже башня со смотровой площадкой мигала и искрилась с перерывами.<\/p>\n

Само собой в ночной вылазке захотелось поесть. Но что к чему — непонятно. То, что светится в иероглифах. Да и  светилось в общем-то не много. Поэтому нашими лучшими друзьями в поездке стали интернет и Гугл-переводчик. Оказалось, что рейтингу заведений можно доверять вплоть до десятых. Мы отправились в китайку, оказалось супер. Бахнули по Асахи, конечно же. Так-то я не пью уже несколько лет.<\/p>\n

Часть 2. Осака<\/h2>\n

В первый день я попробовал самый острый рамен в своей жизни — очень особенное удовольствие, когда на улице +30°. Ещё, мы заказали маринованную бабушку, как подсказывал нам Гугл, которая по факту это оказалась огурцами. Готовила нам женщина на вид лет 70, а рядом стояли молодые ребята в татухах, что в Японии встречается не часто.<\/p>\n

А вот и вид со смотровой площадки. До сих пор удивляюсь, что в городе живёт всего 2,7 млн. человек.<\/p>\n

Но главное впечатление — это абсолютная чистота. Конечно, местами можно встретить окурок или стаканчик. Но в городе совершенно нет пыли. В это сложно поверить. Я проводил пальцем по парапету на мосту, и он оставался чистым.<\/p>\n

Дотонбори — это место, где шумно, людно, искристо и прелестно. Мне очень понравился формат заведений, который я называю «рандомный суши-бар»: садишься за стойку, а перед тобой несколько суши-шефов готовят выбранные тобой суши. Наверняка в Осаке есть аналогичные суши-бары, только для богатых, с красивой подачей. Но я не уверен, что можно приготовить вкуснее.<\/p>\n

Как ни удивительно, оказалось не так-то просто находить суши и рамен. Они точно не на каждом шагу. По ощущениям японцы гораздо больше любят еду во фритюре и различные шашлычки.<\/p>\n

Осака показалась мне побратимом Санкт-Петербурга в плане еды. Здесь много самых разных заведений, от крошечных местечек на два-четыре человека до ресторанов. Единственная проблема — в отличие от Питера, ближе к 23:00 уже практически невозможно найти место с едой. Это прямо квест. Большинство заведений закрывалось уже к 21:00.<\/p>\n
